On Sunday April 19th, the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Northern New Jersey had its annual meeting. The meeting started by electing its officers, which mostly stayed the same as last year with one exception. Then, death expert Becky Robison presented, teaching participants how to successfully navigate everything that comes after the funeral, such as the probate and will process, managing and paying off estate debts, and handling inherited property. Thank you to everyone who attended live. If you were not able to attend live, the meeting was recorded and is available in full to watch on YouTube. Clips will also be posted to Instagram starting next week.

Here is the full recording of Robison’s presentation:

Here is a statement from the Board of Trustees about the event:

FCANNJ Members and Friends,

One takeaway from Author Becky Robison’s presentation during FCANNJ’s Annual Meeting on April 19th: “You do not inherit the debts of the dead.”

The complete recording of Ms. Robison’s program will be posted on the FCANNJ website soon.

Becky shares many useful insights to guide adult children or surviving loved ones through the confusing process of settling the financial estate of deceased parents or a family member.
