Empowering people to advance-plan their funerals to enable them to reduce the financial, environmental and emotional costs, while ensuring a meaningful farewell for themselves and loved ones.
Welcome to the Funeral Consumer Alliance of Northern New Jersey. We are a non-profit consumer advocacy group dedicated to protecting consumers rights to an affordable and dignified funeral choosing. Our primary focus areas are:
Education: Provide updates on funeral and burial practices and legislation to help consumers make informed decisions.
Activities: Speak to groups and organizations about death planning and normalize the conversations around death.
Advocacy: Support efforts to maximize choices when dealing with the funeral industry in NJ.

Five Wishes: A Living Will with Heart $5.00
Published by the organization “Aging with Dignity”, Five Wishes is a living will that addresses your personal, emotional and spiritual needs as well as your medical wishes. This document helps start the important conversations with family members and your doctor about your end-of-life care wishes.
Five Wishes lets your family and doctors know:
- Who you want to make health care decisions for you when you can’t make them.
- The kind of medical treatment you want or don’t want.
- How comfortable you want to be.
- How you want people to treat you.
- What you want your loved ones to know.
Carley Anne Tsaglos from Valley Health Systems on Bereavement and Grief Support Resources – ZOOM Presentation Thursday, October 26th at 7:30 pm
Carley Anne Tsaglos is a Licensed Social Worker and seasoned group facilitator. Specializing in topics related to illness, loss and bereavement, group work has been the focus of her career for the last twenty five years. Carley Anne is a graduate of New York University, where she obtained her Master of Social Work. She is currently the Coordinator of Bereavement Services at Valley Home Care, Inc.
